Story

The Story Behind the Name

While our team hails from all over the United States, Atlanta is where we call home. Our city takes time to get to know - our roads are complicated, our vernacular can be hard to wrap your head around, and we’re certainly not the largest or most mighty city in the country - but it’s a city worth knowing. Our community-oriented denizens work to build a better city through an iterative process, one day at a time.

And, if you navigate west from downtown Atlanta, just outside the concrete jungle, you’ll come across one of the city’s best kept secrets: Bellwood Quarry.

We named our company Bellwood Labs as a nod to our roots. Like Atlanta’s Bellwood Quarry, we’re a hidden gem that takes a complex environment and transforms it into a breath of fresh air. We strive to embody many of the same qualities of our growing, thriving city in each project we take on - even if it’s an iterative process. Just like Atlanta, Bellwood Labs is worth getting to know.

Founder & CEO

Rob Kischuk

Rob Kischuk is a builder of more than just software products - he’s a builder of companies and teams, as well as partnerships and relationships.

Ever since he learned how to code, Rob’s fascination with transforming ideas into action has enabled him to create great software products that empower people to do the work that matters most to them.

Throughout Rob’s career, he’s always strived to be an invested partner - not an order taker. He started Bellwood Labs because he saw the disconnection between a business’ problems, its objectives, and the software product. From helping startups like Proficient Systems and Air2Web achieve successful exits, to driving digital transformation for enterprise-level companies like Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, PGi, and more, Rob’s caring and collaborative approach has been at the center of it all.

In addition to serving on the board of the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association (AIMA), Rob has been recognized time and time again as a key figure in Atlanta’s vibrant business community. Rob has been named to Atlanta’s Top “40 under 40,” and he has also been a finalist in TIE Atlanta’s “Top Up-and-Coming Entrepreneur.”

Outside of work, you can find Rob slipping into sporting events, exploring Atlanta’s foodie scene, or volunteering at Cumberland Community Church.

Rob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA from Georgia State University.

Jen Barja

Jen is a born problem solver with 20 years of experience in Operations and Account/Project Management for Marketing agencies and Software companies. She has primarily managed the creation of websites, applications, and multitouch campaigns from conception to completion across a variety of industries including healthcare, retail, tourism, hospitality, spirits, banking, finance, telecom, and automotive.

She genuinely enjoys acting as the “hub," working as the central point of contact between the internal team, clients, and outside vendors. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Psychology.

Jen currently lives in Rochester, NY with her husband and two parrots. A former gymnast, swimmer, and aerialist, Jen enjoys working out and is an avid runner, sometimes clocking in 10 miles a day! Jen brings the same competitive spirit she has for the gym to her love of video games. She also has a passion for travel and has visited over 25 different countries.
